I haven’t been here in a few months but I will be back soon and I am so excited. Food amazing. Employees amazing. Decoration amazing. I love guus. I have been thinking of the food for months. Paige makes the best grilled cheese, you won’t regret it
Best place I have gone so far on Main. The service and food were amazing. We got our food in a matter of 15 minutes after ordering. Our waitress was kind. I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for some good Mac and Wings. I love the vibe here as well. They also have the tunes thing where you can use the app to play music, obviously you have to pay to play some tunes. Again by far my favorite place on Main.
Nice place, it's loud but it is a bar so that didn't bother me. We were seated right away. They have good food options, I got the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was very good including the bread stick. All the staff was very friendly.
Favorite bar in Stevens Point, hands down. A clean & classy tavern with lots of old signs/prints on the walls (and their signature bison). Good food and a solid menu — try the honey bourbon curds! Plus a nice spread of local beer on tap. It's my first choice place to bring visiting pals from out of town for a beer and a bite
Just visiting and saw it had good reviews. I went pretty late, just before the kitchen was closing but they were very sweet and didn't try to rush me. Had a classic mule that was made just right and for food I ordered the 4 cheese grilled cheese with waffle fries. The food was good and cooked perfectly. Ranch for dipping was the cherry on top. Would come again if I ever come back to SP.
Guu's on Main is exactly what you want in a local spot! The vibe is incredibly fun (you can't beat the classic tavern decor and the giant bison head on the wall), and the service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. If you're in Stevens Point, starting with the fried cheese curds is an absolute must. We followed it up with a great cheeseburger and crispy waffle fries, and everything hit the spot. Highly recommend!
A great place to relax with a drink and an appetizer. I love their Ruben egg rolls! Just a warning, you might have to get two orders because you will not want to share. If you go during the summer they have the patio open. Great staff aways welcoming and friendly.
The food is classic bar food with a little extra flair that sets it apart from the typical pub menu. Everything was fresh and exactly what I was looking for. The sweet potato fries deserve their own mention because they were outstanding. Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. A special shoutout to Mak, who took great care of me while I was tied up in a work meeting. Was attentive, professional, and respectful of the fact that I was trying to balance business and lunch at the same time. The atmosphere is another big plus. Great music, plenty of seating around the bar, and several quieter spaces that work well for business conversations or meetings. Whether you’re stopping in for a meal, drinks with friends, or a casual work meeting, Gus’s offers a welcoming environment and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back.
